Chatter Buzz Joins the Ranks of Don Quijote Award Winners

Chatter Buzz, an integrated marketing firm, was named Hispanic Business of the Year, Five Years or Less, by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) and the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund of Florida, Inc. (HBIF) at the 18^th Annual Don Quijote Awards. The three-year-old company is owned and operated by Ashley Cisneros Mejia and Shalyn Dever.

“We are so honored to receive this prestigious award, especially from two organizations that do so much for the business community, HBIF and the HCCMO,” says Ashley Cisneros Mejia, co-founder of Chatter Buzz. “We’re grateful to live in a country where we have the freedom to chase our dreams, and in a time when technology levels the playing field for small businesses. Our story – two young minority women from humble backgrounds starting a company from nothing – would be very unlikely 30 years ago. We don’t take our freedoms for granted, nor will we rest idly on our laurels. This award belongs to our hardworking staff whose brilliance makes a real difference in the progress and growth of our clients.”

Chatter Buzz was selected due to its company growth, industry awards and contributions to the community, among other criteria. Over three years, Chatter Buzz grew from a staff of two to a team of 29.  Chatter Buzz continues to cement its reputation in the marketing industry, with creative industry awards, such as the W3 award, and the designation as a top social media and advertising agency by the Orlando Business Journal. As the company continues to thrive and expand its services, Cisneros Mejia and Dever strive to give back to the community through pro-bono work for organizations like the Hope & Help Center of Central Florida and Compassionate Hands and Hearts Breast Cancer Outreach.

The Don Quijote Awards recognizes exceptional businesses in the Central Florida Hispanic community. Other recipients honored at the 18^th Annual Don Quijote Awards include the Honorable Mel Martinez, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award and Albu & Associates, who was named the Hispanic Business of the Year, Five Years or More.
